MUSIC SAVES LIVES SELECTED AS THE OFFICIAL NONPROFIT
FOR THE 2010 GUITAR CENTER DRUM OFF GRAND FINALS;


Music Saves Lives® is the bridge between music, entertainment and important life-saving causes and this year Guitar Center has selected Music Saves Lives to be part of the Drum Off Grand Finals, January 8th 2010 at the Wiltern Theater in Los Angeles, California.   By being part of the Guitar Center Drum Off, Music Saves Lives will continue to spead its life saving message and reach out to other local dummers to support. 
Guitar Center announced that Max Weinberg will join a star-studded list of drummers including his son, Jay Weinberg to perform in “Bezerk” – an exclusive project commissioned by Guitar Center and presented by Tommy Lee (Mötley Crüe) and the Street Drum Corps’ Frank Zummo – as part of the upcoming Drum-Off Grand Finals, taking place January 8, 2010 at The Wiltern in Los Angeles.  Artists performing in “Bezerk” include Chad Smith (Red Hot Chili Peppers), Matt Sorum (Guns N’ Roses, Velvet Revolver), José Pasillas (Incubus), Abe Cunningham (Deftones), DJ Aero, Sully Erna (Godsmack), Jay Weinberg and BANG!. Hosted by Stephen Perkins (Jane’s Addiction), this historic evening will also include a very special tribute to the legendary John Bonham by Jason Bonham, along with an exclusive collaborative performance by Danny Carey (Tool) and Brann Dailor (Mastodon®).

These all-star drummers will unite onstage to celebrate the night’s main event:
a final performance by the top five undiscovered drummers in the nation, who will compete for the title of “Guitar Center Drum-Off Champion 2009”, winning a prize package worth more than $40,000 and becoming the nation’s top undiscovered drummer of the year.

Music Saves Lives bring a simple concept; connect the music and entertainment, we all love, to a life saving community action.  MSL has focused efforts on blood donation and the bone marrow registry, reaching out by sharing facts, educating and empowering. As a recognized 501(c)3 organization we has grown from our home base in Southern California to having a worldwide presents.   The MSL motto, Saving Lives Has Never Sounded So Good™, echos our life saving mission.
Music Saves Lives has encouraged over 1 million young people to donate blood during the last 4 years. MSL has been honored, four years in a row, by the American Red Cross for donor promotion of the year.
