DKMS and Music Saves Lives Create a Worldwide Partnership to Save Lives

For Immediate Release

DKMS and Music Saves Lives are reaching out worldwide to help in registering youth for the marrow program.

The DKMS mission is to save lives by recruiting bone marrow donors for leukemia patients. More than 22,000 DKMS donors have helped save lives by donating their bone marrow. DKMS is the largest bone marrow donor center in the world with nearly 2.5 million registered donors. However, there are still thousands of patients who cannot find their donor match. DKMS will continue to recruit bone marrow donors until every patient gets a second chance at life.

Music Saves Lives has been a huge source for reaching youth and educating about the importance of registering for the marrow program.   Many musicians have found that MSL is a great resource to help educate fans about this life saving message.

With the resent leukemia diagnosis of Nargel from the band Behemoth and the resent loss of a close friend of the band Lamb of God the metal music world has been hit hard.

In the next few weeks Music Saves Lives will launch a full program to educate about the importance of being on the national marrow registry.  You can register now at

The Nation’s Number One Alternative Band, Neon Trees, Heads to Las Vegas to Support a Blood Thirsty Cause

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

October 5, 2010,
The Nation’s Number One Alternative Band, Neon Trees, Heads to Las Vegas to Support a Blood Thirsty Cause

The Neon Trees are currently climbing all the charts with their hit single "Animal" and sweeping all video channels with an unforgettable music video.  Many people are unaware that the rising band has passion to help.  Over the last 2 years, they have supported Music Saves Lives and their efforts in the national marrow registration and blood donations. Their support has helped generate hundreds of marrow registrations and encouraged youth to get out and donate blood to save lives.  After touring with the Killers, and 30 Seconds to Mars, Neon Trees are gearing up to release another single that is anticipated to do even better than the first.
Wednesday, October 27th Music Saves Lives will benefit from a very special exclusive concert.  Beatles Revolution Lounge will be the intimate venue located inside the Mirage Hotel in Las Vegas.  Picture Healing, a company that supports many non-profits through a photo-posting website, presents the Neon Trees and other special guests all to benefit Music Saves Lives.
Music Saves Lives® is the bridge between music, entertainment and important life-saving causes. Music Saves Lives brings a simple concept; connect the music and entertainment, we all love, to a life saving community action.  MSL has focused efforts on blood donation and the bone marrow registry, reaching out by sharing facts, educating, and empowering. As a recognized 501(c)3 organization we have grown from our home base in Southern California to having a worldwide presence.   The MSL motto, Saving Lives Has Never Sounded So Good™, echoes our life saving mission. Music Saves Lives has encouraged over 1 million young people to donate blood during the last 5 years. Music Saves Lives has been honored, five years in a row, by the American Red Cross for organizing the nations best youth donor program each year.
