They’ve partnered with Music Saves Lives, the Seal Beach, CA based nonprofit to help in raising funds to support there life saving programs. Music Saves Lives, who’ve partnered with the Vans Warped Tour for (6) campaigns, came up with an idea to reach out to the 1% and give them the opportunity to support a cause through Twitter.com.

The process is quite simple: Music Saves Lives tweets out a message that says something akin to @MusicSavesLives “1 RT could fund a program 4/ 2012. Who has the guts? RT & Confirm a $50,000 donation”. If someone re-tweets (RT) the message they are sent a direct message to sign up at Twitpay. They sign up and confirm the donation using a credit card and the process is done. This would be the first and largest donation made through the Twitter social site.

Music Saves Lives has been seeking out Fortune 500 companies to match dollar for dollar as an incentive to capitalize on the positive media that could come from the largest donation ever on Twitter in addition with aiding in these entities’ philanthropic pursuits.

The series kicks off and the heat is on, as Rachael and Guy welcome the contestants and select their teams. The two teams face off in a showdown for the first-ever Celebrity Cook-Off Food Festival, where each team member must create an original dish for 150 people. At the end of the festival, each contestant’s fate lies in the hands of the attendees, who vote for the team with the best food. The bottom two celebrities from the losing team must compete in a sudden-death, blind taste challenge judged by Rachael and Guy, where it is determined which celebrity goes home. The celebrities are pushed to new culinary limits over the course of the series, including operating their own curb-side lunch cart in New York City; contending in one-on-one Chopped style battles, complete with special guest judges Alex Guarnaschelli, Marcus Samuelsson, and Scott Conant straight from the Chopped set. It all culminates in the finale, where the final two celebrity contestants face their toughest challenge and attempt to launch their very own restaurant, where they must develop the menu as well as create a restaurant theme and décor. MUSIC SAVES LIVES ANNOUNCES THAT IT WILL BE REGISTERING FOR THE MARROW PROGRAM AT THE ORANGE COUNTY KROQ EPICENTER FESTIVAL

Irvine California Saturday September 24^th, MUSIC SAVES LIVES will be reaching out to thousands of festival attendees in hope that they take 15 minutes to register to save those with leukemia and other blood disorders. On hand, as the official marrow list coordinators, DKMS Americas will assist in all registrations and place each committed registrar on the world bone marrow matching list. Music Saves Lives has partnered with DKMS over several years due to it’s national presents. DKMS is a world leader in marrow registrations and has a commitment to Free Registration, taking only donations and never insisting on any fees.

Over the last 6 years Music Saves Lives has devoted its time to educate youth about advances in the marrow surgical transplant procedures. If you’re a match to someone that is waiting to find that life saving transplant, as many as 85% of the time the donor procedure is as easy as a blood donation. The recipient of the transplant still goes through a rigorous fight, but new surgical techniques are making headway every day. 6 out of every 10 patients diagnosed needing a transplant will never get one and Music Saves Lives has committed its time and staff to reaching the “Y” generation and encouraging them to save lives.

Starting in Miami August 25th MUSIC SAVES LIVES will be reaching out with a new QR technology initiative that will allow web enabled smart phones to scan and be given information about how to register for the national bone marrow program to save those with leukemia and other blood disorders that need marrow transplants. Music Saves Lives has partnered with DKMS Americas to facilitate the best on-line registration process. The QR scan code will be placed in many locations at the festival. Well-known artist Mike Oncley has designed a limited edition t-shirt with the QR code that will be available only on the 10 tour dates. Music Saves Lives has a goal to register 10,000 over the ten tour dates, a reasonable goal based on the expected 3-400,000 expected attendees.

To help in covering costs for the festival 4 pair of VIP packages were designed to auction with Unite the United. Kevin Lyman, founder of the 15 year running Vans Warped Tour, started Unite the United to help.

Music Saves Lives has focused its main efforts on blood donation and marrow registration, reaching out by sharing facts and educating at music tours nationwide. MSL began in 2006 and has reach out to more than 2 million youth blood donors and registered over 15,000 for the marrow program saving 12 people with leukemia.

HELP: Aidan was diagnosed with a rare brain disease

Bobby & Elisa Seeger, the owners of Indian Larry Motorcycles in Brooklyn, NY are fighting to keep their son Aidan alive. A few weeks ago, Aidan was diagnosed with a rare brain disease called Adrenoleukodystrophy (ALD).

Aidan is a beautiful 6 year-old boy with huge blue eyes and a smile that is contagious. He is full of personality and laughter. His greatest source of joy is his sister, Sienna. He loves riding his scooter, and listening to his favorite band, Buckcherry. His favorite number is 5095!

Aidan is in dire need of a bone marrow transplant, so a massive search for a donor is underway.

A few years ago Jenni Alpert, who was adopted at age four, reunited with her biological family. She discovered that her cousin had red blood cell aplasia and was surviving from weekly blood transfusions. After losing her adopted father to cancer at a young age and watching him struggle with the need for blood, Jenni spent the next few years helping her cousin through some of his hardest days. During that period she learned a lot about the value of donating blood and bone marrow. A few years later Jenni hooked up with Music Saves Lives who created a program of running blood drives and giving music away as perks to people to help raise awareness and encourage blood donations. With the Blood Driven Tour, Jenni will assist Music Saves Lives in spreading their message through music and song, helping folks feel more at ease while they are donating their blood with a little entertainment.

You will be contacting individuals to spread the word about the Music Saves Lives cause through educating and fundraising. Communication skills are a MUST. Shy individuals need not apply, you will be going door to door, and calling people on the phone, if you have a problem with this, this internship is not for you.

You will be working many events throughout the summer representing Music Saves Lives in different spectrums of the entertainment and healthcare industry.

LOS ANGELES, CA (May 23, 2011)—Debby Ryan celebrated her 18th birthday at her favorite
local record store in Burbank, California – Backside Records, on Sunday evening, May 22, 2011.
The invite-only event, held to benefit Music Saves Lives, an organization which bridges music and
entertainment with life saving causes, was attended by some of Debby’s closest friends and family.
Celebrity guests included some of Young Hollywood’s hottest stars, including: Victoria Justice,
Dylan and Cole Sprouse, Bridgit Mendler, Adam Hicks, Booboo Stewart, Ashley Argota, Bella
Thorne, Cameron Monaghan, Doug Brochu & Chris Brochu, Nathan Kress, China McLain, and
more.

Debby shares, “My 18th birthday party was absolutely unreal. With the changes and growth I’ve
been through the last few years, I’m so blessed to have celebrated this milestone birthday with my
brother Chase, my family, and my friends with whom I’ve shared it all. Jam sessions, fun photos, tie
dying, dancing around, scarfing cake balls, we brought all my favorite things to do to my favorite
record store, all in one night. It was a killer celebration that I’ll never forget.”

Guests at the party enjoyed a photo booth provided by Music Saves Lives to capture picture perfect
moments from the evening, indoor tie dying by iLoveToCreate with Tulip Tie Dye, cup cakes and
sweets provided by Sweet Harts and Lil Rae Cakes, food by Baja Fresh, and beverages from IZZE.
They also danced the night away with live music, as guests from the party were able to go to the
loft balcony in the record store and jam with instruments [Debby even took to the stage, drumming,
singing, and harmonizing for a few songs] as Roshon Fegan DJ’ed in between the live music
breaks.

In addition, Skittles provided a custom made electric guitar for Debby, which was put on display
at the party. Debby wore two custom made dresses by BTFL People, designed by Brandon Ho
and Artemio Ganaden, one was co-designed by Debby herself. At the end of the evening, guests
were given gift bags [provided by Make Love Not Trash] that were stuffed with goodies, including
removable lip tattoos from Violent Lips, Skittles, the Katy Perry nail polish line provided by OPI,
treats from Popcorn, Indiana, bracelets by Jac Vanek, and t-shirts by Lyric Culture.

Jenny McCarthy wants everyone to know that donating blood is the coolest thing to hit Hollywood this year; that's why she showed up early to the Music Saves Lives 2011 Awareness Campaign Kick-Off Party Presented by Monster on Wednesday night, May 11, held at the hot new speakeasy joint called the Next Door Lounge. She looked positively demure in a sparkly gray top and black leggings, keeping her famous assets under wraps for the casual weeknight bash, as she schmoozed with Music Saves Lives founder Russel Hornbeek and scribbled her name on a Fender guitar.

That autograph-filled guitar will be auctioned off in the near future on the charity's website, which also encourages everyone to not only give blood freely and often, but to also register as a bone-marrow donor. No one was actually giving blood at the party, but plenty of sweat and tears were flowing as partygoers sucked down Monster-mixed-with-Pearl-Vodka cocktails and rocked out to a different kind of karaoke, this one featuring a live band and celebrity singers.

That meant a surreal kind of night, hearing Corey Feldman belt out "Welcome to the Jungle," MTV "Rob and Big" reality show star Christopher "Big Black" Boykin channeling Michael Jackson with "Billie Jean," and Daisy de la Hoya of VH1's "Daisy of Love" doing a rendition of Joan Jett's "I Love Rock n Roll." Actress by day and DJ by night Taryn Manning filled in the gaps by spinning tunes, and "Real Housewives of Orange County" Alexis Bellino and her hubby snuggled in a corner.

Bellino, who recently revealed her ongoing struggle with eating disorders, didn't seem to warm up to the Wahoo Fish Taco truck that was on duty at the curb of the Highland Avenue club, feeding revelers their famed, slightly spicy, Mexican bites, but plenty of other partygoers lined up to sample their wares.

One up-and-comer who didn't warble nor eat was songwriter-turned-singer Nikola Rachelle Bedingfield, Natasha's little sister, who explained why. "I'm going into the recording studio tomorrow to work on my new album," she revealed, "so I have to save my voice for that. But I wanted to come out and support this great cause."

Today the Grammy nominations came out and one of our super band supporters landed a nomination for Best Metal Performance in the solo, duo, group or collaborative performances, with vocals category. Singles or Tracks only.

Lead singer, Randy Blythe has been wearing MSL gear all through their last tour. He learned about MSL and our efforts at registering marrow donors through a KROQ broadcast of Epicenter and the Tom DeLonge wristband.

Lamb of God recently went through a tough time when their friend, masseuse and merch person found out she had leukemia. She past away very quickly after diagnosis and surprised her family, friends and the bands she had worked with for years. It was a devastating experience for all. The band Rise Against signed a one of a kind Chantal De Felice designed Gibson Guitar and the band Thrice signed a unique carved whale designed Gibson from the artist Mike Oncley. The band Neon Trees signed this Gibson Guitar donated by Guitar Center at a very special Music Saves Lives Las Vegas benefit. Each band supports Music Saves Lives to raise funds for life saving causes that help increase the nation’s safe Blood Supply and Marrow Registry. Kevin Lyman, founder of the Vans Warped Tour, Taste of Chaos, Country Throwdown and Mayhem Festival, started the foundation ‘Unite the United’, where proceeds from eBay auctions benefit selected nonprofits. DKMS and Music Saves Lives are reaching out worldwide to help in registering youth for the marrow program.

The DKMS mission is to save lives by recruiting bone marrow donors for leukemia patients. More than 22,000 DKMS donors have helped save lives by donating their bone marrow. DKMS is the largest bone marrow donor center in the world with nearly 2.5 million registered donors. However, there are still thousands of patients who cannot find their donor match. DKMS will continue to recruit bone marrow donors until every patient gets a second chance at life.

Music Saves Lives has been a huge source for reaching youth and educating about the importance of registering for the marrow program. Many musicians have found that MSL is a great resource to help educate fans about this life saving message.

1 . I want to donate Bone Marrow/Stem Cells to Adam “Nargel” Darski, how do I do
that?

First off, thats awesome that you want to help. It is important to know that donating
bone marrow isn’t the same as donating blood. Donor compatibility is one in millions
for bone marrow, being part of the registry doesn’t mean that you will be donating in
your lifetime, but you must be committed and ready if called. It is very important to expand the registry by adding as many people to it as possible. At any given time there are thousands of people around the world waiting for a bone marrow match, growing the registry gives these people a greater chance of
finding a match.

2 . I live in a different country than Nargel, does that matter?

No the Bone Marrow Registry is international, meaning if you sign up in different parts of the world, you may be matched with someone in another part of the world.

3 . I want to be part of the registry, how do I join?

If you live in the United States and would like to be a part of the Marrow Registry check out

sent to you.

4 . I want to run a Marrow Drive and expand the registry.

MUSIC SAVES LIVES SELECTED AS THE OFFICIAL NONPROFIT

FOR THE 2010 GUITAR CENTER DRUM OFF GRAND FINALS;

Music Saves Lives® is the bridge between music, entertainment and important life-saving causes and this year Guitar Center has selected Music Saves Lives to be part of the Drum Off Grand Finals, January 8^th 2010 at the Wiltern Theater in Los Angeles, California. By being part of the Guitar Center Drum Off, Music Saves Lives will continue to spead its life saving message and reach out to other local dummers to support.

Guitar Center announced that Max Weinberg will join a star-studded list of drummers including his son, Jay Weinberg to perform in “Bezerk” – an exclusive project commissioned by Guitar Center and presented by Tommy Lee (Mötley Crüe) and the Street Drum Corps’ Frank Zummo – as part of the upcoming Drum-Off Grand Finals, taking place January 8, 2010 at The Wiltern in Los Angeles. Artists performing in “Bezerk” include Chad Smith (Red Hot Chili Peppers), Matt Sorum (Guns N’ Roses, Velvet Revolver), José Pasillas (Incubus), Abe Cunningham (Deftones), DJ Aero, Sully Erna (Godsmack), Jay Weinberg and BANG!. Hosted by Stephen Perkins (Jane’s Addiction), this historic evening will also include a very special tribute to the legendary John Bonham by Jason Bonham, along with an exclusive collaborative performance by Danny Carey (Tool) and Brann Dailor (Mastodon®).

These all-star drummers will unite onstage to celebrate the night’s main event:

a final performance by the top five undiscovered drummers in the nation, who will compete for the title of “Guitar Center Drum-Off Champion 2009”, winning a prize package worth more than $40,000 and becoming the nation’s top undiscovered drummer of the year.

Music Saves Lives bring a simple concept; connect the music and entertainment, we all love, to a life saving community action. MSL has focused efforts on blood donation and the bone marrow registry, reaching out by sharing facts, educating and empowering. As a recognized 501(c)3 organization we has grown from our home base in Southern California to having a worldwide presents. Music Saves Lives has encouraged over 1 million young people to donate blood during the last 4 years. MSL has been honored, four years in a row, by the American Red Cross for donor promotion of the year.

Music Saves Lives Confirms AP Tour and The Vans Warped Tour Twenty Ten

2010 we will be part of the AP Tour and the Vans Warped Tour with a goal of plugging tour-goers into saving lives. Thousands of blood drives will be run from March until the end of the year and we need you to run drives. Please let us know if you are committed to saving lives.
